XXV IHVC 2015 – Alcalá Madrid
With the theme “Seeing holistically: body, mind and eyes in balance for a healthier life”, the 25th International Holistic Vision Conference happened in Alcalá -Madrid, Spain, from 29 October to 02 November 2015. Organized by our Spanish friends, the ophthalmologist Dr. Amelia Salvador Villalba and the vision therapist Amelia Jurado Fernandez., the event was remarkable.
A meaningful network was created, especially with the first time presence of so many therapists from Latin America. Specialists from all over presented their news and we all learned a lot. Presentations and workshops were really innovative and with the help of Rafael Izquierdo we had excellent morning vision and body exercises, including ChiWalking (see Articles), with full participation at 6.30am every day!!! Great impact!

Remembering the 24th Vision Conference
The 24th Holistic Vision Conference 2014 happened in Villa Cagnola, Varese, Italy, in a monumental XVIII Century building, with lovely Parks and English Gardens with autumnal colors. Renowned therapists and educators from all over the world debated and had fantastic presentations during the five full-immersion days. Many young students came from Italy and Spain.
My presentation on Losses and Gains in a Blink opened the Conference and there was an immediate impact: not only more than 100 participants had a chance to experience this outdoor system of posture and vision exercises, but our colleague Ungvary Lilla from Hungary got back home and already started outdoor exercises in Budapest. My workshop on Expanding vision with courage and creativity was in Italian, “Espandere la visione con coraggio e creatività”, for the very special members of AIEV, the Italian School for Vision Education. Great fun indeed!
19th Conference on Madeira Island
Freedom to See was my full commitment to organize the 19th Conference on Madeira Island, where people with the same interests, exchanged experiences and learned from the world leading experts in natural vision improvement, arriving from USA , Europe , Iraq and Brazil . During a whole week, more than 100 participants listened to unique methods, a revision on Bates Method and Method Meir Schneider Self-Healing, behavioral optometry, psychotherapy and much more.
The Program was very intense, full of surprises and unexpected events that led to the right atmosphere to meet new and old friends. Happily surprised by the wonderful location and Hotel Jardim Atlántico, surprised by the wonderful rooms and views, we all started out with a glorious and a bit wet walk visiting the beauties of the Natural Park of Madeira. Excitement was in the air almost a week before the Conference itself, when participants arrived ready to meet, work and listen to our speakers. Our keynote speaker Roberto Kaplan excited our imagination at the new Arts Center Casa das Mudas, where all the meetings and entertainment happened Most participants stayed on for an extra week of new experiences, exchange of ideas e projects, private consultations, extra workshops and holidays wishing it were not time to go back home.
The success of this Conference was guaranteed by the presence of a fantastic list of keynote speakers, from the opening presentation of Roberto Kaplan on cutting edge research to Meir Schneider's closing presentation with new approaches on his Self-Healing Method, with the most recent understanding of how to improve vision, breaking patterns, building and strengthening neural connections between brain and eyes. In between, the excellent participation of Dr. Sameer Al-Kasab, coming in from Iraq , when the presented his Method of Natural Vision Exercises and research developed over many years, proving the importance of understanding and finding in the anatomy and physiology of the eyes the scientific response to natural vision improvement. For one whole week, Freedom to See was the theme and each one of us became part of an ongoing alchemy: one great cauldron into which we keep adding our vision, experiences, knowledge and consciousness, which will naturally transform us into better human beings.

We became part of an ongoing alchemy: one great cauldron into which we keep adding our vision, experiences, knowledge and consciousness, which naturally transforms us into better human beings. Yes, vision can improve naturally. We did indeed discover new ways to Freedom of See.
