Pinholes
About 35 years ago, a Mexican Physician developed these glasses for vision exercises and received a special prize from the 1980 Inventions Congress in New York. Its basic concept is a metal or plastic frame while the traditional glass lenses are replaced by a plastic grid, with very precise manufacturing pin holes. This allows sun to reach the retina in an orderly way, stimulating the optical nerve. The different eye muscles react allowing for clearer vision. Pinholes in English, Rasterbrille in German, these glasses allow for more relaxation of the eyes and improving vision through natural ways.
Pinholes are used for a variety of vision problems: nearsighted and farsighted people, presbyopia, and astigmatism. It has been also helping in cases of cataracts, strabismus as well as in some pathologies always giving the opportunity of seeing clearer whenever there is an excess of light, supporting the eyes. Excellent glasses for reading near and far, relaxing the eyes from excess of computer use and in front of TV monitors for long hours. All can use these glasses as a temporary tool in vision reeducation programs. Helping improve focusing, accommodation, mobility and centering, pinholes replace sunglasses and help those people with photophobia. More light, more clarity and contrast, better resolution of each object in focus, far or near.
Practicing vision exercises with these glasses will help improve vision but it is necessary to give some time to adjust to the grid. After a while the brain gets accustomed and one does not see any more the grid. Blink and breathe a lot while using Pinholes and practicing for a few hours a day, always in day light. Never use these glasses for driving and remember to take them off in dark places.
