It was a very good idea to accommodate all the participants the same hotel, which enable easy communication and frequent meetings. Pieter Wester, The Netherlands “Meeting new people, interesting techniques, sharing…” The aspects I enjoyed most were Madeira , the hotel, the climate, the people, certain workshops and presentations, communicating with people very easily, getting to know new people. I learned interesting techniques as for example a ball connected with a rope to the ceiling moving in circles from Sarah Cobb; the breathing exercise from Marie Schils and aspects on retinal rivalry. I shared many experiences and discovered that a lot of people do not yet understand essential things, as for example that the Bates Method is not just about doing eye exercises but relearning the right vision habits. In my opinion this kind of information is essential. In the next Conference I would like to see discussed topics such as Improving your food; teaching techniques and experiences; specific eye conditions and how to deal with it; starting your own business; a basic standard course (Thomas Quackenbush's course is the basic course) and which elements are essential to teach; a worldwide-accepted certificate issued by an association. Marianne Aguirre, Brazil “Highly inspiring… we were well represented in Madeira ” Sylvia made a fantastic job; Meir mentioned that it was the best conference ever. Personally, the Conference was wonderful and highly inspiring. Participating in some of the workshops I could confirm the high level of our local self-healing workshops. Meir, Fernanda and Sylvia represented us very well in Madeira . Maja Gnhem , Switzerland “We could swim in the Atlantic Ocean …” We had a wonderful time and staying in the other hotel was great. We could swim in the Atlantic which I wasn't doing for years!! The conference was wonderful and you certainly did a great job. Do you know about Virginia Satir and her Avanta Peace Network? There is something of you that reminds me of what she was trying to do. What a wonderful Conference and so many interesting people to network with. The bits in between the Conference sessions were as good as the sessions themselves. The pre and post Conference dances were also very special. The venue was great. Sameer al Kasab was a one off! It was great to meet Kunti Nagwekar and her husband - I hope they can make Italy - she'd be a great speaker. My thanks to the Hotel Owner and all the staff for their wonderful attention - they are very special. And also to the team who helped you including Margarida Barros. I'm just sorry I didn't get to see more of Madeira - I'm sure I'll go back again.
