Freedom of Seeing - Perceptions through the Eye of a Camera! |

| For participants who arrive early, an excellent opportunity to meet our key speaker Roberto Kaplan as a prize winning photographer! Born in Cape Town , South Africa in 1948, he grew up in Uitenhage, attended Optometry School in Johannesburg and practiced in Durban from 1971 to 1973. His passion for photography began at age 8 when his father gave him his first camera. At age 13 he won second prize in this age category for the Shell sponsored photo contest. His photographs have appeared in the Johannesburg Star and Vancouver Parent newspaper, Stuurwiel and Car Magazine, Esotera and Gesundheit magazine in Germany, Ihr Einkauf newspaper in Austria and published in the book “Conscious Seeing” which is translated into 14 languages. In 1996 Kaplan conducted an exhibition of his photo art work in a show in London , England at Salon des Arts. In 2004, his photography on the Apartheid days was presented at the UN in Vienna , Austria and he was awarded second prize in an Internet based competition on photographs capturing the essence of vision therapy. | ||

| Open you heart, hand and eye connections Saturday morning, during break, Peter Ruiter, from Holistic Vision Tools© will show us how we can experience an eye-massage from a distance, with Eye-Lollipops , his special hand-made tool for relaxing and moving the eyes. By moving this tool in small circles around your eyes, not only it relaxes, but stimulates and allows for good coordination and better the fusion capacities of your eyes. Use the Eye-Lollipops for your self, a friend or in your Vision Classes. There is an instruction card for the use of the Eye-Lollipops . | Exhibit Area Madeira: a great success | |
During the whole period of the 19th Conference and workshops we had a complete exhibit area where participants, speakers and interested companies had an opportunity of showing and selling their books, audiovisual materials, vision support and training materials, small equipments and other products and services. Many new ideas and support materials were introduced and we will be giving more details in the future. Sales were great and most products passed on to those interested. |

During the whole week Sylvia Lakeland gave every morning warming up exercises, helping to discovering yourself each day with new techniques, having a good laugh and enjoying the lovely Madeira hills and the Atlantic Ocean. |
