Expanding Vision with Courage and Creativity – Portugal 2011

Following the tradition of a yearly visit to Portugal, 2011 was remarkable with great impact in all activities: more than 500 people came from all over the country to participate at lectures, talks and workshops in Lisbon, and the theme for the year was “Expanding Vision with Courage and Creativity”.
Among other events, the lecture at the Oficina do Alquimista, www.oficinadoalquimista.pt was great fun and a full room received us at the special conference with exercises followed by a lovely dinner at the Sociedade Portuguesa de Naturologia, www.spn.eco-gaia.net Open doors at Prama, www.prama.pt with a very interested public was followed by the conference at Quiron – Centro Portugues de Astrologia, www.quiron.pt where we met our traditional audience for more than two hours of exercises and debates. A full agenda of individual sessions in Lisbon was followed by our Sixth Intensive Portuguese Workshop, always at Torre d’Aguilha, in Carcavelos, near Lisbon.
In each talk. Lecture, private session or workshop I gave, we explored all aspects of the six items of my basic formula to improve vision and quality of life: Faith, Consciousness, Courage, Creativity, Perseverance and Discipline. Ten years surviving vision problems and another ten helping all those who have vision problems shows me that we can and must transform realities, understand the system network and be part of the spontaneous evolution. It is time for transformation and transcendence to a more harmonious world. With love, joy and creativity!

Art of living with good vision - in Lisbon October 2010

All the events planned for Lisbon had a very interesting response and we had participants from all Portugal at the lectures at Oficina da Alquimista, EAN – Estudos Avançados de Naturologia, Espaço Prana and Centro Português de Astrologia- Quiron. The Intensive Workshop at Torre d ’ Aguilha, in Carcavelos, had real good responses from participants, who felt how they improved their vision and body during these hours of relaxation and practice. The agenda of private sessions with Sylvia was complete, including children, youngsters and adults with vision problems.

While in Lisbon, we had the fantastic impact of the radio interview with João Paulo Meneses, at TSF Portuguese Radio Station. Since then, a constant flow of phone calls and e-mails while in Portugal and now in Brazil, just proving us well the importance of natural vision therapies all over the world.

Our target was and is to help and train all interested people, without vision difficulties and those with vision problems such as pain and eye fatigue, computer stress, photophobia, myopia, presbyopia, astigmatism, dry eyes, or even problems with cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration. We had new participants and some who came to repeat the training and had already enjoyed other vision workshops. This 2010 edition included new subjects related to the connection body-eyes, balanced vision of both eyes, and body awareness, understanding the essential of Bates Method and Meir Schneider Self-Healing Method with exercises movement and self-massage.

The atmosphere was indeed relaxed and happy, so we explored together topics such as: How can I improve naturally my vision? What says the Bates Method? Can Meir Schneider Self-Healing Method help my vision? After an initial evaluation we discovered that Movement is Life, and while getting aware of our basic physical structure , we were moving our bodies and eyes, for many hours. Breathing, walking, and developing more all sort of vision exercises. During lunch we talked about nutrition and acupuncture; questions and answers session discussing news from the latest International and British Holistic Vision Conferences; self-massage, individual questions and finally each participating had his personal program of exercises for the future. New creative support materials were available, such as different eye-patches, tropical masks , training charts and other vision support products, pinhole glasses, books in Portuguese and Sylvia Lakeland new CDs and booklets in Portuguese.

Meet our renovated Center of Integrated Therapies in Lisbon !

During 22 years, Rita Jardim has been leading the Breathing Clinic, in Campo de Ourique, Lisbon. Not only a wonderful friend and excellent client, Rita is my partner for all of our natural vision activities in Portugal. Feelings, Emotions, Perception & Vision, in Portugal May-June 2008

Following the fantastic visit to Poland in 2008, all energy was required to cover the intense three weeks Programme for this year´s visit to Lisbon. Five years of consecutive visits to Lisbon, always working together with my partner Rita Jardim, surely brings out the best of our work, total commitment and the really trusting relationship with public, clients and students! Full audiences at each lecture, with very participative people, all wanting indeed to understand how is it possible to improve vision with natural vision therapies.

The main subject of the lectures and Seminar was about Feelings, Emotions, Perception and Vision including natural vision improvement therapies, Bates and Meir Schneider Method, integrated medicine including quantum medicine and oriental therapeutic exercises in a package to help improve quality of life and vision. Our traditional workshop at Torre D”Aguilha, in Lisbon, with participants from all over Portugal, happened on a lovely summer Saturday and while covering all aspects of caring for our eyes and body, mind and spirit , we were aware of the importance of having always new exercises and support materials to enjoy, so it was fun discovering the new Eye-Tools charts, working with the pinholes glasses and most of all, witnessing the happy and relaxed eyes of all those who really decided to invest their time to take care of themselves and their vision!

With my large room with a view over Lisbon and full support at the Principe Real Hotel, were I always stay, the efficient location and support of Rita Jardim and our Center of Integrated Therapies in Lisbon, where our private sessions always take place and were we have a vision support group for the last three years, it was easy to carry out the programme and still spare a few days to visit Beira Baixa, the wonderful cheese region with exciting meals and wines, amazing villages such as Monsanto.

2008 was an important year to visit Portugal as we also realized that there was a momentum of growing interest in new aspects of vision training for the Portuguese specialized public so a new project has been already set up in association with APEC - Portuguese Association for Education of Blind. Discovering Visual Coherence, in Portugal May, October & November 2007

Since 2003 I return to Portugal for regular visits to my long lasting clients and friends. In 2007 I visited Lisbon in May and again in November. Both occasions were very exciting and I was received in all my intensive and very happy programme of lectures with full house, my agenda of private sessions was complete and my already traditional vision workshops were real success.
Fifteen days of an extensive programme included natural vision improvement and body activities for all who wished to see me, from all over Europe as well as Portugal. Visual Coherence, quantum medicine, Meir Schneider Self-Healing Method and oriental therapeutic exercises were part of this programme for all participants. From 31 October to 7 November I represented Brazil and Portugal at the 21st International Holistic Vision Conference where 170 participants had the opportunity to learn about the natural vision improvement of my clients in Portugal and Brazil.

For those who do not know her, she is a Vision Therapist and someone who recuperated from serious vision problems by using as well Meir Schneider's Self-Healing Method.
