Emotions, Perception & Vision, in Portugal  May-June  2008

Following the fantastic visit to Poland, all energy was required to cover the intense three weeks Programme for this year´s visit to Lisbon.  Five years of consecutive visits to Lisbon, always working together with my partner Rita Jardim, surely brings out the best of our work, total commitment and the really trusting relationship with public, clients and students! Full audiences at each lecture, with very participative people, all wanting indeed to understand how is it possible to improve vision with natural vision therapies.
The main subject of the lectures was about Feelings, Emotions, Perception and Vision including natural vision improvement therapies, Bates and Meir Schneider Method, integrated  medicine including  quantum medicine and oriental therapeutical exercises in a package to help improve quality of life and vision. By understanding important aspects of our feelings and emotions when relating to our inner experiences and competitive envirnoment, we return to the simplicity in living with less demands and more time to really practising  everyday, one day at at a time, discovering fantastic moments of relaxation while doing palming exercises, the awareness of having all it needs to improve inner vision, and of course a conscient return to nature as the main source of new energies and connectiveness with the universe. Discovering our inner teacher!
Our traditional workshop at Torre D”Aguilha, in Lisbon, with participants from all over Portugal, happened on a lovely summer Saturday and while covering all aspects of caring for our eyes and of course body, mind and spirit , we were aware of the importance of having always new exercises to explore and support materials to enjoy, so it was fun discovering the new Eye-Tools charts, working with the pinholes glasses and most of all, witnessing the happy and relaxed eyes of all those who really decided to invest their time to take care of themselves and their vision!

With my large room with a view over Lisbon and full support at the Principe Real Hotel, were I always stay, the efficent location and support of Rita Jardim and our Center of Integrated Therapies in Lisbon, were our private sessions always take place and were we have a vision support  group for the last three yearss,  it was  easy to carry out the programme and still spare a few days to visit Beira Baixa, the wonderful cheese region with exciting meals and wines, amazing  villages such as Monsanto. Indeed 2008 was an important year to visit  Portugal  because we also realized that there is a new momentum of growing interest in new aspects of vision training for the Portuguese  specialized public so a new project was already set up in association with APEC - Portuguese Association for Education of Blind. We will be working on this Project during  2008 and hope to start implementation in Lisbon during May 2009. October & November 2007, in Portugal

Since 2003 I return to Portugal for regular visits to my long lasting clients and friends. In 2007 I visited Lisbon in May and again in November. Both occasions were very exciting and I was received in all my intensive and very happy programme of lectures with full house, my agenda of private sessions was complete and my already traditional vision workshops were real success.  Fifteen days of an extensive programme included natural vision improvement and body activities for all who wished to see me, from all over Europe as well as Portugal. Visual Coherence, quantum medicine, Meir Schneider Self-Healing Method and oriental therapeutic exercises were part of this programme for all participants.  From 31 October to 7 November I represented Brazil and Portugal at the 21st International Holistic Vision Conference where 170 participants had the opportunity to learn about the natural vision improvement of my clients in Portugal and Brazil.  I am now looking forward to come again to Lisbon in May 2008, so keep an eye on the Calendar, in this site, confirm the timetable and schedule of lectures and workshops and set up your appointments for all events at the Center of Integrated Therapies - Lisbon, by calling +351.213885899 or +351.919 937311. 3 – 15 November 2005 in Portugal
After a very intensive and successful programme in Lisbon and Funchal, during the month of May, Sylvia Loretta Lakeland was again in Portugal for a second visit, still in 2005, in November. The main purpose was to give continuous support to new and traditional clients as well as to promote the most recent news on Meir Schneider Self-Healing Method. Arriving in Lisbon straight after the 20 th International Conference for Holistic Vision – www.holisticvision.it - the Portuguese all had the most recent news and details of what was discussed and details of the latest in natural vision improvement techniques. Dr. Laércio Motoryn and Sylvia Lakeland were the guest speakers with a very interesting and appreciated talk about Low Vision, while opening the Conference
All those interested in discovering how it is always possible to see clearer,
the November Workshop and the lecture at the Oficina do Alquimista were a great success and immediately a group of participants decided to create a Support Group to meet regularly and practice all exercises. The agenda for private appointments was so full that we had do manage a waiting list and extend the stay in Lisbon. 9 to 28 May in Portugal

The trip to Portugal was a great success. After the impact of the 19 th International Conference for Holistic Vision in Madeira in 2004, there was an interested public who attended promptly to all activities organized by Sylvia Lakeland

  • A two days workshop on Vision in Funchal, specially organized for teachers and staff of the Regional Department of Special Education and Rehabilitation, part of the Regional Education Ministry of Madeira. Excellent return, a lot of fun and 50 participants will be not only taking care of their own eyes but as well of their students with vision problems. To be continued next year.
  • A very intensive lecture in Lisbon, for about 90 people in a completely packed conference room at Quiron, the Portuguese Center for Astrology, with many questions that took us deep in the evening understanding more about natural vision improvement and self-healing.
  • During a whole day, the seminar “A Full Day of Clear Vision” happened at Torre d’ Aguilha, a very interesting convent near Lisbon. With the presence of Dr. Rita Jardim, a specialist in breathing, for an hour all were taken by all the details and exercises. The writer and journalist Maria Jose Costa Felix arrived in time to participate in the debates and give her contribution on important subjects such as inner well being and love, themes of her bestsellers in Portugal. We almost forgot time for lunch! A sunny day with lot of exercises and clear vision!
  • Funchal and Lisbon were the base for the private sessions and all those interested got the necessary response to their queries. A strong and healthy partnership created between teacher and participants will be helping for better vision and follow up is already confirmed for November, right after the 20 th Vision Conference in Genoa, Italy.

Rita Jardim' Letter about Sylvia Lakeland in Lisbon

It is with great pleasure that I invite you all to meet Sylvia Lakeland in Lisbon . For those who do not know her, she is a Vision Therapist and someone who recuperated from serious vision problems by using as well Meir Schneider's Self-Healing Method. She works with this Method to help all those with vision problems, with a set of very easy exercises and special massages.

  Anyone can and should learn how to improve by self-healing its own vision and also with the help of specialized therapists.
